On an open field (unfenced), it can be challenging to achieve a successful boar hunt for a small group of hunters. This is why most commercial hunts in France are conducted either on small fenced fields or on open fields with 25 to 40 hunters to ensure a good harvest.
At Sandricourt, we stand out as the only commercial estate in France offering high-quality driven wild boar and roe deer hunting on open fields. Our hunts are tailored for just 10 hunters, resulting in a bag of 15 to 30 wild boar and approximately 8 to 12 roe deer, depending on the skills of the hunters.
On some drives, we also have the opportunity to shoot sika deer (females and young). To maintain this level of quality, we have dedicated five woods, each ranging from 150 to 450 acres, for our big game driven hunts. We have carefully managed the habitat to attract and sustain the boar population, and more importantly, we maintain the tranquility of these woods throughout the year, conducting a maximum of two drives per wood annually.
For safety, our 10 hunters are positioned in 2-yard-high miradors, and all safety angles are clearly marked with red arrows to ensure maximum safety. We employ a team of 20 beaters with dogs.
